Highfields Happy Hens

– This is where you will find some little balls of yellow fluff which you can hold but please handle them gently!

Every 3 weeks we fill one brooder with day old chicks which we rear for meat.

There are 3 brooder pens so the oldest chicks in here are 5 weeks old – you can see how quickly they grow and how quickly their appearance changes.

We also keep our pet mice in here – all well contained in a glass tank – we hope! We do sell the babies if any one would like some!
